Everyone will have a complaint. I'm surprised there is not rioting in Philly over the closed liquor stores.

My observations are: Older whites and blacks like their tipple. Young whites, heroin. Especially the women (weight loss?). Young black men, weed in their cigars. Their women? Unknown, but possibly they get high absorbing the crap they rub into their hair. The Dominicans on the block smoke ganja around the clock on their porches and cannot understand why it is illegal here but in Massachewzits (their pronunciation) it was legal. Finally, the Indians ... They are killing us with their onions and cumin. Gawd, the EPA would be going in full HAZMAT if invited to dinner.

One interesting point: The Indian couple across the street? I've known them for 20 years but the wife has spoken less than 100 words to me in that entire time. Very friendly, though. Quietly friendly.

I think getting offended at anything is beginning to be hereditary.

I am 65. As far back as I remember the Surgeon General has been saying avoid alcohol, drugs and smoking. I always saw it as wise advice.

That's not to say I heed the advice. I still like a drink from time to time.

If you haven't been following it wasn't the advice they (she) had a problem with, it was the language used. Highly offensive language. He used the terms abuela, big mama, and pop-pop to describe family members. How obscene! How can he ever make up for this blatant attack on human decency?

I just hope that "reporter" hasn't reproduced, but it's probably too late for that...
