Because it is hilarious.

Even if it is toilet paper, someone could get hurt or die.

Wood pallets weigh a lot. Not to mention lost inventory and damaged product costs.

Most bosses in charge would stroke out because of something like this. The cost of inventory alone would suck, plus replacing the racking, cleaning up the mess, replacing the driver and possibly the machine.

Shit, we recently had a head gasket blow on one of our older lift trucks. $4000 and it still doesn't run right.

One year I had a piece of finger joint block fall off a pallet 20 some odd feet up, that missed the cage on my lift , and hit me square on the head. I felt like I had been shot that sucker hurt so bad.

I used to work in a meat packing plant. We used hooks/rollers to move sides of beef. There was a technique to flip the (10) or (20) hook assembly onto the overhead rail assemblies. Sometimes I misses which resulted in a split skull.

The wood was worse.

Yeah. I had a Crown hi-lo picker lose the floor track and ping the shelving. No warehouse collapse. Another dude had the same thing happen in the same place couple weeks later. Bent the vertical beam even further. No warehouse collapse.

That shelving looks like a cross between cheap scaffolding and residential garage storage shelves. Like the stuff in my work room. With all the ammo on it. Glad I can't fit a forklift in my basement.

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

If one was to pay attention, the most popular (and I assume safe) racking is green uprights with orange cross members.

Did not see a lot of this in the video. Think they went the cheap route.

Guy who OK'ed this should be forced to suck his own dick.

Our safety coordinator, at a major corporation, used to climb on shelving, use pallets on the the forklift as an aerial platform and use ladders in every conceivable unsafe manner before he got his current job
Now I get bitched at if I walk into the warehouse without gloves.
I’m in fucking sales, if I walk out there it is to see if anyone wants lunch!

Safety training is great, and muscle memory is a great thing with safety procedures, but it’s hard to teach common sense

Lowest common denominator driving what one Millwright called the 6000 pound yellow gorilla.

He had to fix Hyster damage.

Fucking hated us, and I could not blame him,
