What Luxury Car From The 60's Had Covered Headlights?
I'm not seeing any listings in the IMCDB.org site for the 1966 season.

My 65 riviera had the clamshell lights.

I get a kick out of all the cars on the old TV shows.
Mannix had a custom Toronado, then a Dodge Dart.
And the two door patrol cars on Highway Patrol are cool too.

My first car was a '65 Buick Riviera. Had been my grandmother's car. I got it in 1973. Had to replace it a few months later. It wasn't used to a 16 year old driver......sure was fun to drive!

Olds Toronado

My grandfather went through a series of those when he was in his Oldsmobile phase. I have the most memories with the '70, one of the middle ones in his run of four. One of my cousins got that one and boy, some of the stuff we did with that car...fun memories but (ahem) somewhat inappropriate shenanigans. But I always thought his '66 was the coolest of the bunch.

Dad inherited his Olds gene, except he was into the A-bodies: Vista Cruiser, Cutlass Supreme and late in life a very surprising '65 4-4-2 that I never saw coming. Kinda wish he had kept that car.

A neighbor of ours back in its day was a Riviera freak much like Granddad was a Toronado fanatic; she bought several over the years before moving on to other brands. Her '73 Boattail was pretty awesome to this kid. I vaguely remember her '68; I remember her telling my brother and I that it was her second Riviera, bought new to replace her earlier model that had been stolen and subsequently trashed.

Was gonna agree. Had a 68 Grand Prix, so I know it had covered lights...

It wasn't unusual back then to see a 'One Eye'.
