From a fellow cancer survivor, all I can say is I am sorry for what you and your wife are about to go through. The diagnosis kind of kicks you in the butt really quickly. Not sure where you live but let me know if you need someone to listen. If I am close enough I would enjoy (for lack of a better term) to have a chance to come by and hang out.
