I don't know why I just thought about it this way but..... In July it's both our country's 250th and my 73rd birthdays. I've lived in our country for almost 30% of the entire time our country has existed. Makes me feel old yet proud.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

Happy birthday, now strap a flag on your motorcycle and go for a ride this weekend!

For myself, I celebrated the Bi-Centennial and get to celebrate our 250th 50 years later.

My kids will celebrate the 250th and God willing the 300th.

Just remembered as I watched Trump exit the current Freedom Train in ND, back in 1976 the Freedom Train came to our city and my parents got tickets on it for us and we got to go for a ride for the Bi-Centennial...

It was a two year 75-76 celebration by the train, travelled the US back and forth stopping at cities everywhere. We go to see it June of 1976...

Happy Birthday to both of us this month. Also a '53 model here. Wink

I wonder how many of those in the early decades of their life have a real understanding of the history behind the celebrations?

My guess is the majority do not.
