I work in IT and despite my best efforts have failed to escape it my entire career.

I use windows defender only.

Looking at both Bitdefender and Malwarebytes, but still taking suggestions.

I enjoy Apple inherent security features. No other software. I do have in the browser an ad blocker that works well, integrated by Apple as an extension.

I use 9.9.9.9 and equivalent DNS servers, as well as the dns.quad9.net search domain. This hopefully reduces Verizon's intrusive recording and selling of my browser URLs.

Not technical. What does this mean? ISP's are monitoring our URLs and selling them? What do I need to do to prevent? Just specify different DNS server (in OS? in browser? in router?).
