I have an old HP printer that uses the 56/57 ink cartridges. They are next to impossible to find locally, so I am forced to order them online. Most I see on Ebay are well past the expiration date. How important is this, and how far can one normally go past it and still have a good cartridge? TIA!

I have used LD Ink for my Canon printers for years and they have good prices.
