LS1 GTOWhat is Price Gouging and Who Dertermine What Critical Supplies are?
So there's a news article in San Diego about a group of people arrested for price gouging toilet paper ($10/roll - $100 for a 10 roll pack) yet in the same span of the news county officials are claiming there's no shortage of TP, only hording.
No I fully understand the jacking up of gas a day before a hurricane hits or charging $30 for a liter of water after a tornado and all power/water is off.
But..., why something which is not in shortage, just missing from shelves because of hoarding?
Why isn't hoarding a crime? Why not review purchase records and start knocking on some doors?
And why TP?? Why not ammo? When does price gouging of ammo become a crime?

Pipe Smoker“Price gouging” is a derogatory term that socialists use to describe market prices that rise in response to excess demand.
