Not at all! Go to the Cabellas / Bass Pro ( strategically placed) right across the border, and its full of Illinois plates!

Same with the dicks sporting goods south of I 80 in will county.

You just have to show your driver's license and your FOID card.

Firearm Ammunition Tax Rate. Effective June 1, 2016, a tax is hereby imposed on the retail purchase of firearm ammunition as defined in this article at the following rates:
(1)
Centerfire ammunition shall be taxed at a rate of $0.05 per cartridge.
(2)
Rimfire ammunition shall be taxed at a rate of $0.01 per cartridge

Seattle passed this same tax. The claim was the revenue would be $300-$500 thousand in the first year.
After a year the city refused to release the numbers. Then said the revenue was "less the $200,000."
After more delay the city released the actual revenue: $108,013.04.
Well, it was "less then $200,000."

Don’t forget, Seattle SPENT in excess of $300,000 defending the lawsuits over it. Net loss of nearly $200,000. In addition to other tax revenues of the businesses and commerce it drove out of the city. Real financial genius at work.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I wouldn’t hold my breath on that. Philly’s soda tax revenues have been way below projections but they keep making excuses and demonizing the soda makers and distributors AS IF this is their fault, but it’s going to falter along for a couple more years until they pull the plug.

Reminds me of the time a guy came to me for some instrument instruction in his airplane. I wanted to make sure that I was covered, so I had him call his insurance agent, who asked how much time I had in that particular model. I answered, without hesitation, "Under 800 hours." Absolutely true. Smile
