A while back I lost my I Tunes off my I Phone 7 Plus.
I had been getting messages that my cloud storage was almost full and I was at risk of losing stuff. I didn't do anything about it. Then my I tunes was gone.
I upgraded my cloud storage for .99 a month or something like that. I cant find my I Tunes on there.
The only other thing I can think of is that I may have accidentally deleted it. Sometimes something happens where all my icons are shaking and they have a little x next to them. I may have accidentally hit the I Tunes icon and deleted it.
I still don't know what causes that shaking. I can't duplicate it on purpose. But when it happens I'm damn careful not to hit any icons.
Does anybody have any ideas on recovering my I tunes short of hooking up my I Pod to the phone and re installing? Which, BTW, I don't know how to do.
I searched for this specific problem and couldn't find anything.
Thank you in advance for any help with this.

If you touch and hold an icon, the iPhone goes into that mode.

The icons for those apps that can be deleted will then have an 'X' in the corner. If you tap this 'X', that app will be deleted.

To exit from this mode and return to normal operation, press the home button (on any iPhone 8 or earlier).
Use the app for App Store to re-download iTunes.

V-Tail, I don’t know when it happened, but that’s only partially correct.

On my iPhone 8, and iPad, you can touch, and hold anywhere on the screen to make the icons shake and show the little X.

I don’t like it, and the first time I looked down and all the icons were shaking it scared the crap out of me. It’s too easy to do it accidentally.

BOATTRASH1, do you mean all your songs are gone, or just the iTunes icon.

The iTunes icon has been replaced by Music. The only iTunes you have now is the iTunes Store.

If Music is missing, you can go to the App Store and replace it. It’s called Apple Music.

ETA: I’m not sure, but if you run out of storage, I don’t think Apple will delete anything. I think they just stop backing up. The only problem you might have is that sometimes deleting an icon will also delete the data for that icon.

Well, I don’t have any good ideas. If you purchased the songs from the iTunes Store, you can go to the store, and in the lower right hand corner, there are 3 dots. Tap that and you can select Purchased. I think you can load them all up again, but you won’t have your Playlists.

I don’t know if there’s a way to sync your iPod to the phone.

In the current version of the OS (14.4.1) and probably a version or two back, when you click on a giggling icon, you are offered two choices. Delete or remove. Delete takes it off of your phone, but it's still there in iCloud, sans data. If you select remove it goes to the last page on your screen, with data intact where it can be retrieved and put back on the working pages. If you delete an app, then go to reload it from the App store, you'll notice the little cloud icon which means it's going to download from your iCloud storage. Most of this doesn't apply in your case as iTunes on iSO is no longer available. It is on the PC platform though if you use that. Just some things it's helpful to know.

Muddflap is correct, iTunes was replaced by Music. You didn't delete anything. Worst case scenario is that you must simply re-download all your songs.

But first, go to Settings on your phone and find Music. Make sure the "Show Apple Music" is selected. If it is already selected, turn it off and then on again.

I also have an iphone7 running on 14.4.1 and have both itunes and Music icons. It could be that you need to log back into your apple ID to get things synced back to where it was.
