BBMWNYS comptroller trying to get financial companies to block guns sales
Really, if the controller of one of the biggest blocks of your voting stock started complaining to you about how you run the company, you just blow them off? Especially if they coordinated with other big stockholders (can CalPERS be far behind) Sounds like a good way to get fired.

That happened to me(really). The CEO was systematically mischarging gov't contracts to increase profits on the commercial sector, I couldn't support it, he told me to have my resignation on his desk in 15 minutes, which I did. fatmanspencerWho cares? I know some of us here know how to start a company. how much harder is it to start a CC company? Focus on gun sales, maybe even lower the interest rates for gun purchases. Then see how they like it. Generally, when you dont like a business and can see a chance to make money from it, isnt that what being good at business is?

I care. If this came to fruition, you're talking about companies that control virtually the entire financial system in this country working together with government entities to choke out the constitutional rights of citizens.

JALLENBanks are essentially nationalized. The regulations are pervasive and if you don’t comply, you don’t get to own the bank, or even work there.

BBMWWhen Paypal announced they wouldn't allow gun purchases through their system, someone tried to start a gun specific competitor ("Gunpal" IIRC.) It crashed and burned pretty badly.
