My earliest real memory is moving into the "new" house when I was about 4 years old. I remember flashes of stuff before that, like playing with my cousins at our grandma's, but nothing vivid.

I can remember being in the main hallway of our childhood home speaking to my brother in twinspeak.
I remember my older brother opening the hood to his Sprite.

Had to be around 3 or so.

I remember the VW bus engine swallowing a valve on the way to Kindergarten.

Earliest recollection is being able to sit upright in the crib.

My long term memory kinda sucks, so I'm tempted to answer the OP question with something smartass like "The dog waking me up this morning." I still have a couple of old memories (school and Grandma), but those are from grade-school times so I'd have been 10-ish rather than 3. My brother, who is 3 years younger than me, remembers things that I've long since forgotten. Even when he brings them up, I'm completely drawing a blank.

Im walking between my grandparents houses....( they lived next door to each other). I was between my parents holding their hands. One of my parents gave me a mint candy( red and white like from pizza hut) and i chocked on it.... passing out and waking up from it being knocked out by my dad
