Coroner's court. All deaths other than natural go through this process. Here and in Canada all our troops, killed in action in Iraq or Afghanistan, were taken from the POE, in UK RAF Brize norton, and in Canada CFB Trenton, to the county coronors' office where the yUK equivalent of a ME would carry out a PM, report to the coroner, who would then hold a hearing to ascertain how the person came by their death - in this case, as a result of enemy action.
