Regardless of your opinion of Harbor Freight some one there must either have a good sense of humor, is a genius, or both depending on your view of this "New Product" e-mail I just got.

Endeavor to persevere.

That actually makes sense.

Losing 10mm sockets has been a running (semi)joke among mechanics for years now, based on an actual phenomenon of frequently losing 10mm sockets.

It's one of the most common bolt sizes in vehicles so it sees frequent use, plus they are small enough that they're easily lost or misplaced.

I'd buy that in a heartbeat, they just opened one pretty close to me

Not to mention it is the most common size bolt head used on alien space craft. Now you know where all those missing sockets went.

I might even buy an assortment like this if it weren't from HF. I think I am down to my last 10mm socket (if it hasn't recently wandered off from my toolbox).

Every day, 7 days a week I walk the dog around the neighborhood for a couple of miles.

So I've found 5 sockets sitting in the road, all of them 10MM

Go figure.

Next door neighbor bought a BMW online and had it shipped. While checking out the engine I found a 10mm Snap-On socket in the engine compartment.

I've probably got 15 10MM sockets at work.
I have more in a toolbox here at the house, 9 IIRC.
They are all 3/8 or 1/4 inch drive.
I've also got at least a dozen wrenches.

I saw that, went to the local HF to grab one. Me and two clerks looked all over for more than an hour.

Couldn’t find it.

10mm sets have been a thing for awhile from GearWrench, DuraLast, and Power Torque. I like my Tien-i made Astro Pneumatic branded glow in the dark 10mm set. Astro even did a nice job with the packaging.

I've got a bunch of 10mm sockets and wrenches but can't remember ever using my 1/2" drive socket.

One hundred and 8 shopping days left until Christmas.

You guys have given me the best idea for stocking stuffers, ever!

'BRAZEN 10mm Socket Ten Pack (Multi-Type)
Stock up on the most commonly used tool!

Forged high-strength 6100-series steel
Large size markings on both sides of every socket
Knurled rim for better grip when turning by hand
Mirror-polished corrosion-resistant finish'

The guys will be ecstatic! Well, most of them.

The women will be all 'WTF'? Well, most of them.

Great idea except I don't understand including 1/2" drive versions of a 10mm socket without a torque wrench.

Umm... what? Wouldn't you already have the wrench you need but presumably just lost the socket?
