Damn, Rex Allen got run over by his caregiver after his heart attack. That sucks. I had no idea.

Didn't know anything about Warren Earp either. I lived in Sierra vista and knew a couple of folks who lived in Tombstone. They told me that many who live there are relatives of the folks from back in the day.

One of the best things about my 9 year stay in Arizona was that no matter where you decided to visit,

There were places that had recent history stories attached.
( Recent : 1845 - 1950 )

I found it fascinating, but you had to be careful about who was telling the story and why.

Saw Karl's video the other day. I didn't even know there was a Warren Earp! But then again, my Old West knowledge is minimal.

I really like the InRange history videos.

Interesting - We learned quite a bit about the Earp brothers when we visited Tombstone in November.

Yeah, I would’ve thought that the streets got rolled up each night by 10pm.

The Earp family has an interesting history, after the father moved to Southern California, they all entered various industries but, usually settling back into law enforcement/security, mining, saloons, or other vices like gambling, bootlegging or, running a brothel. The siblings are buried all around the West, Wyatt's grave site in Colma is the most visited in a town where the dead residents outnumber the living.

That was an interesting video. And yes, that song is now stuck in my head. I actually laughed out loud listening to those lyrics. As the brother of two younger sisters I could think of a couple of nights long ago when I would have loved to have been able to push play on a cassette player with that song keyed up as they walked through the door...but dear old dad probably didn’t need any encouragement by that point.

Then, just as today, nothing good happens at 1:30 in the morning.
