Need to rip all the kids CDs that have been in the wife's Highlander since I can put them all on an SD card for the Suburban.
What is a good ripper that will pull good metadata and Album art so I don't have to do much fiddling.
I just want to rip to the SD card and be done.

Wish the system supported FLAC. I use EAC for that but it has been running a bit wonky here recently.

Haven't ripped a CD in 10 years or more, but when I did I used iTunes back in the day.

I use EAC with LAME mp3 encoder.

Exact Audio Copy does all of what you want.

When I ripped my Dad's CDs to a flash drive for him, I just used Windows Media Player. Seemed to work fine and I didn't have to use any external program. Plus it seemed to find most of the albums and song information without much trouble. I would imagine your kid's CD's are probably more modern and easier to find though.

I use AnyBurn for FLAC. Quick and simple

iTunes you have to have an account for it to find album art. I so I have to go and find the album art and upload it manually.

EAC worked decently a couple years back when I was ripping to FLAC. I gave it a go and it was running kind of wonky.
I could not find an program update option in the program, maybe I try to uninstall and reinstall.

dBpoweamp is another that's very good.

I am using Microsoft Zune. While it is no longer supported, the program is easy to use for ripping and transferring. The album art and track info is automatically downloaded as well. Though sometimes it doesn't show up. I don't know if it is the cd not supporting this information or what the deal is.

I just took my collection and added it to an SD card for our car. The Audi does not show any album art, but it is a 2012 so I don't think it supports that anyhow.

The computer has the Zune file seperate and all I needed to do was drag the whole file to the SD card to copy it. As I add CD's to my collection, I can go in and transfer just the files I want to add individually.
