I do, but I don't scan the junk / spam folder regularly. A post like the one being discussed would prompt me to check that folder to see if something "real" had wound up there.

| Thank you Bendable for the reminder on refrigeration expirations. Two things I learned early on in life that helped me reach the ripe old age of 80:
!. Check expiration dates 2. Never eat chitlins that were prepared at a house that didn't have indoor plumbing |

A Grateful American
| It was regarding the death of a friend. I do not get much email, and am more likely to see a post here than email as I have the forum up as my "first alert to anything happening in the world". (Don't have/watch TV for many years) The "call out" was much appreciated.

you should do a poll. I'm curious myself now that you brought it up. I'm here waayy more often than email and I just assured an acquaintance who bitched about me not looking at texts regularly that I did-Quarterly.

I have a couple of emails for "throwaway" email. I use one of them for Sigforum. If someone from this forum wants to contact me, I would see their post here first. I don't check my throwaway emails except when I'm expecting something. My Amazon account has a throwaway email because I can see what I need to see on the Amazon app. I don't really need the emails I get from Amazon.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946. |
