I am no biologist, but I don't see much difference between a squirrel and a rat. Eek

Drift - I imagine there is some sort of pic or video in the OP. However, on a W11 PC using Brave, all I see in the OP is the smiley face. What setting do I need to adjust in order to see the full OP?

ETA: kkina's post worked for me. Not sure what the difference is between OP and kkina's post.

I feed about 20 a day and those cheap little guys have never left me a thing. I guess I'll have to show them this video.

I make squirrel and dumplings a few times during hunting season. Can't say the same for rats. Smile

LOL same here, also birds (including crows sometimes) and deer. None of them have brought me anything!

also birds

Birds offer you their presence and sometimes familiarity. I have over 30 different species of birds in my yard, and, some of the more common ones, chickadees, titmouse, and goldfinches will stick around and sing while I top off the feeders. I have two Carolina wrens that will sit on my deck railing and sing for food when there isn't any left in the feeders.

That is good enough for me!

^It does happen. There's a famous story about some crows that returned a lost camera lens cap in gratitude for frequent feedings.

In the OP, there is an "X" in the upper right hand corner. In the later post, the lower left hand corner contains the YouTube logo

Yes, I simply searched and found the same video posted on Youtube, easy enough to embed on the forum.

I see. The only thing I see in the OP is a smiley face icon. Nothing else. It's an empty post otherwise. I wonder why it doesn't show for me.

All my squirrels do is dig dig dig up my lawn. We must have about 20 of them that live around my backyard.

We have grey squirrels that build nests high up in oak trees. They actually get what looks like patio furniture cushion stuffing from somewhere and use that as well.

We also get red-brown squirrels that dig holes in the ground. Much prefer the grey squirrels.

The grey squirrels bury the oak tree acorns for a rainy day. The red squirrels just seem to dig them up; they don't seem to hoard and bury themselves. The grey guys must get pissed at the red ones.

I had a grey squirrel who would come up on my porch, climb up on the windowsill and eat.... A bagel. This happened almost daily. This drove my cat nuts which led me to believe the squirrel was doing this deliberately. No idea where he got the bagel.
