I received this slow-close toilet seat today and got it installed.

MAYFAIR Sculptured Modern Geometric Toilet Seat

Watching the seat slowly closing, with the lid trailing just behind it, is almost hypnotic.

The easy-off, easy-on feature is great too. Raise two levers over the mounting bolts and the seat assembly can be easily popped off to make cleaning the toilet rim much easier. Put the seat back in place, close the two levers, and the seat is solid as a rock. Very pleased.

I believe that the members that said the slow-close mechanism is viscous damping are correct.

Serious about crackers.

We would never steer you wrong. Smile You can pop the cover off to see it if you want.
