Everybody can become friendly if we give them money. Orellana, August 3, 2023. Representatives of the United States Embassy in Ecuador delivered $3.1 million of support to units of the Ecuadorian Armed Forces during their visit yesterday to El Coca, in the province of Orellana. Contributions included $1.1 million of military equipment, $1.3 million for the construction of the River Maintenance Center for the 19th “Napo” Jungle Brigade, and $747,000 of communications equipment for the San Lorenzo Marine Infantry Brigade. I think they broke ties with the U.S in 2009

Hope he does well. His term is a short one as he's filling a vacancy and will have to run again soon, before he has time to make much progress. As an outsider in politics, he's also likely to face some headwinds by the entrenched bureaucracy. These are the countries, south of our border that we need to assist, as they are the eventual answer to many of our illegal immigration and other problems. Having prosperous neighbors with functional and legitimate governments would go a long way towards solving many of our border issues. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Family Reunification Parole (FRP) allows U.S-based Ecuadorians to sponsor immediate family members abroad to come into the country legally. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said the FRP process will open up new pathways for legal immigration, while also hopefully reducing the number of people making the dangerous journey from Ecuador using people smugglers.
