Well that was easier than I thought. My 12v is in the center console under the storage bin/arm rest there. I ended up running the wire under the passenger seat. I found it easy to run the wire under the door jam plastic.

The only bump in the road is the A pillar. There is a curtain airbag in there and the plastic is so close to the windshield that there is no room for the wire and I don't want to pry at it for fear of damaging or firing off the air bag.

I'm considering running a thick bead of clear silicone caulking along the meeting point of the windshield and the A pillar plastic and bury the wire in the caulk. Thoughts? Having the caulk there should not interfere with the airbag deployment. Could use tape on the windshield. If it left any adhesive behind it'd be easy to scrap it off with a razor blade.

No need to run a thick bead when a couple of dots of silicone will do. You're going to have to redo it when you get a new windshield anyway.

And no to the duct tape. Sure the glue will stay, the tape won't.

I have done this without anything securing the wire in olace. Going over a year in this truck. Went 5+ in prior truck.

Excellent point. I am guessing that any glue or silicone would stick better to the glass than the plastic...??
