| Three Generations of Service  |
 Daughter wants to make a terrarium-style diorama based around an abandoned castle. We picked the picture off the web and I said I'd make it out of plaster of paris for her.  I sketched out the rough shape of the front wall, scaled to fit the enclosure she wants to put it in.  I poured the form full of plaster and let it cure then removed the form. Some of the thinner attachments broke when removing the form, but that's ok, "it's a feature, not a bug"   Next step is to carve the stone façade into the casting. The gray wash will form the base for final coloring which she will do. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent. | ||

 Finished product, as far as I'll take it. Daughter (who has more artistic talent in her pinkie finger than I'll ever have) will weather, detail and install it in the terrarium diorama.
