That one was my first wired mechanical keyboard, first on FreeBSD, and later on a Mac. As I tried others, I found I prefer the Cherry MX switches over the older buckling spring type. I have been using a dasKeyboard for about 10 years now. Wired, and clicky, but you can also get quiet Cherry MX switches. I want my keyboard to be always available, so wired for me. I do use a Bluetooth mouse, but if it goes south, I can navigate fine using the keyboard (using the tab/arrow keys, function keys, and spacebar). If all else fails, I keep a wired "Mighty Mouse" in a drawer.

When in doubt, mumble

I’ve been using a Logitech K860 everyday at work for about 2.5 years. It’s an office environment but I definitely use it. I’m not a coder but I do send a lot of emails/IMs

I am typing this on a Logitech 250 USB keyboard that has given good service for many many years. I don't expect that I'll have to replace it before I die, But it should could use a good cleaning! It is sort of a "semi-clicker" with key action between that of a true mechanical and a soft stroke keyboard. Nice long USB cord too.

The best keyboards I ever used were a pair of IBM branded mechanical clickers I bought in the early 80's. I wore one out, but still have one of these around somewhere, and it is still like new, but it is a purple plug PC keyboard with no place to plug it in. Having used at least hundreds of different keyboards over the decades, the clickers are still my favorite, but are hard to find these days.

I agree with the previous poster who advised wired over Bluetooth.

I'm a DBA/developer and on the PC for 8-10 on a given day for work. I been using a Logitech G610 mechanical for about 4 yrs. The G610 is one of the few modern mechanical KBs that will work with my KMV. Letters did start to wear-off after 2 yrs.
For mouse, SteelSeries SenseiTen. It's light and ambidextrous. I work both right and left-hanged with mouse due to various RSIs over 25 years.
