We drove past that circus yesterday.

It was a beautiful - picture postcard morning.

My 6 yr old pointed out the clowns closing distance and said - "Look at that Daddy. Those people are stupid!"

No one can blame their ignorance of wild animal behavior in places like Yellowstone on cartoons or Grizzly Adams. Signs about the dangers have been conspicuously posted there for literally decades, and they’re probably more obvious than when I was there myself long ago. It’s like any other dangerous activity whose fans believe—consciously or subconsciously—that it won’t happen to them. I could cite any number of examples that are exhibited by the very people who criticize others, but that would accomplish nothing because the people to whom it would apply would only think, “Oh, no; I’m different.”
