Cueta is an isolated city on the north coast of Africa. After climbing a fence into Cueta, how do they get to mainland Europe?

Directly across the Strait of Gibraltar, it's a small enclave of Spain/EU territory on the African continent. Further to the East along the Moroccan coast is series of islands that belong to Spain called Plazas de Soberanía to include another urban enclave of Melilla.

Since it's within the Schengen Zone, there's no more ID checks to catch a ferry ride to mainland Europe/Spain. In the past pretty sure Spanish authorities round-up the 'escapess' since this has been an issue. Given the current Spanish president, he'll probably push their parliament to 'give-up' these territories to Morocco rather than use any resources to secure the area Roll Eyes

Ceuta is a Spanish autonomous city. Morocco claims sovereignty over it. These people are not marching into Madrid or Barcelona.

Old spanish expression goes: “Me cago en Ceuta!”
Used mostly in Argentina and Cuba. Latin american revolutionaries used to be imprisoned by Spain in Ceuta. Not a happy place.

Am old enough to know about those words but had no clue. At least, it puts the island on the map for me.

Time for another Reconquista...

Spain defeated the last Muslim rulers on the Iberian Peninsula on January 2, 1492. This victory occurred when King Boabdil surrendered the Emirate of Granada to the Catholic Monarchs, Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile, concluding a 10-year military campaign.

This pivotal surrender ended the 800-year era of Muslim rule in Spain, completing the centuries-long conflict known as the Reconquista.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Well, lets see how Spain responds to this? (if at all).

Apparently Spain opened up Amnesty for all, which helped spur the invasion...

Look close at the video, it's almost 100% military aged men. Best hide your daughters and wife/girl friends.

In today's news: Africans break into city in Africa...

Sucks for the residents of Ceuta, sure. Hopefully the Spanish authorities have an appropriate response in the works. But not exactly the mass invasion of mainland Europe like some geographically confused folks on social media are making it out to be.

The people of Spain elected the leadership that they have, and now they get to live with it.

As Mencken just might have said, “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."

Spain may not want a Generalissimo but when those savages get to mainland Spain and ply their talents, Spain may wind up with another Generalissimo …

This might be the push that's needed to push Spain towards a more conservative government. Currently it's been a three-way battle between various conservative parties: People's Party (PP), VOX and Ciudadanos (Citizens) to challenge the current Leftist President Pedro Sanchez (Spanish Socialist) and his coalition of Lefties. I remember visiting Spain back in 2019 and VOX was riding a wave of success as a new party to the long-standing PP, the next 12-months will be interesting.

Tens of thousands of people bum-rushing a small space with no sanitation facilities, and you get this.

I'm surprised the motherfuckers bathe. Just imagine thousands of dirty assholes fouling the fountain water.
