John Kerry Formally Challenged for Stating (Twice) That Greenhouse Gas Emissions Kill 15 Million People/Year
quote:
A government watchdog filed a formal ethics complaint this week over the scientific integrity of statements made by Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry.

The Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate hosted a summit in May, and Kerry gave a speech at the event where he stressed the urgency for reaching net-zero emissions in the agriculture sector. In support of this policy position, Kerry claimed that 15 million people are dying every single year as a consequence of greenhouse gas emissions.

The statement violates rules set forth in a memorandum by President Joe Biden, according to the group and it filed an ethics complaint with the Department of State and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

“We request an immediate investigation into whether Mr. Kerry’s claim violates the Biden Administration’s scientific integrity policies and what the appropriate remedial action should be to adequately correct the public record and deter similar hysterical claims in the future,” PPT stated in its complaint.
The complaint warned that when the public loses trust in officials’ scientific claims, people will ignore or disregard even the most logical, scientifically grounded, evidence-based directives.

Reckless rhetoric, without basis in fact has long been Kerry’s stock in trade. He’s scum, has always been scum, will will one day die as scum, benefiting the planet he claims to care about.

The “Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate” is a joint initiative by the United States and the United Arab Emirates. AIM for Climate seeks to address climate change and global hunger by uniting participants to significantly increase investment in, and other support for, climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation over five years (2021-2025). This is a Joe Biden thing and in remarks at the World Leaders Summit, Biden announced that the United States intends to mobilize $1 billion in investment in climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation. No doubt farmers and ranchers across the country are throbbing in excitement at following Joe Biden and John Kerry down the road of agricultural innovation.

That 15 million figure he cites is less than half that of the Ukraine's Holodomor. Maoist China's "Great Leap Forward" in the 1950s killed over three times that. Governments are a far greater danger to mankind than any greenhouse gas emissions.

I heard Kerry say paraphrased that his climate change mission was so important that he could use private jets, ride in fleets of SUVs and have multiple mansions with gargantuan carbon footprints without being hypocritical. Also he pays for so called offsets. I also heard a cultish televangelist say the same thing and indulgences is a centuries old tradition. So the racket hasn’t changed much.

I really don't think anyone but his staff and family take him seriously. He is such an idiot and buffoon. Thankfully he doesn't have any real power and I doubt he'll be part of another regime after Brando leaves.

“…I have to fly to meet with people and get things done.”

White House climate czar John Kerry traveled to Iceland by private jet in 2019 to accept an environmental award and defended his transportation choice to a reporter at the time by calling it, “the only choice for somebody like me.”

Kerry flew to Iceland in October, 2019 to receive the Arctic Circle award, an iceberg sculpture, for his leadership on climate issues and being “a consistent voice pressuring the American authorities to commit to tackle environmental matters,” according to Icelandic outlet RUV.

During the trip, Kerry was confronted by Icelandic reporter Jóhann Bjarni Kolbeinsson on whether his use of a private jet was an “environmental way to travel.”

“If you offset your carbon, it’s the only choice for somebody like me, who is traveling the world to win this battle,” Kerry responded.

The former secretary of state went on to emphasize his climate accomplishments, including negotiating the Paris accord for the U.S. and bringing Chinese President Xi to the table.

“I’ve been involved in this fight for years,” Kerry said.

“I believe the time it takes me to get somewhere, I can’t sail across the ocean, I have to fly to meet with people and get things done,” he continued. “But what I’m doing almost full-time is working to win the battle of climate change. And in the end, if I offset and contribute my life to do this, I’m not going to be put on the defensive.”

The headline is correct. John Kerry is certainly challenged. He's mentally challenged and morally challenged. He has the right to remain silent, which is often the best course to take, but fails in the challenge to do so.
