I'm in this camp, 4 door sport car, love them. I have a even bigger love of the sleeper. My ol' Dodge Omni GLH Turbo was a sort of sleeper, because most people had/have no idea what they are looking at. But it would make you regret your foolish decision of messing with it! ARman

We don’t get a lot of options like Europe does for performance vehicles. The AWD performance vehicles offer something that RWD or FWD cannot, year round performance in any weather condition. You will not find a 2 door coupe AWD with a 6MT in it, in the US, that is affordable. First option is a C4 or C4S, and they start at $120,000. The car in the OP is truly a compact car. It may have 4 doors but it’s not a boat or a saloon. It’s still small. I moved over to 4 doors and AWD in 2008 and have never looked back. Ever since rain, snow, sleet, shine, doesn’t matter. I can take her out and sling it around corners. Couldn’t do that with my RWD coupes. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Yeah, the US don't get the cool cars. There are so many cool cars that are never seen in the good ol' USofA. Even domestic ( Ford, Chevy, Dodge ) manufacturers built cool cars for export, or in foreign countries that we never see here. If it's not some big boat, then Americans don't seem interested in it. And for some reason, wagons and/or hatchbacks have very little interest in the United States, though we can't seem to get enough of SUVs. I don't have anything against SUVs, or trucks, but a fast Hot Hatch, that just does something for me. But for whatever reason, they don't sell here, so we don't get them. The Subaru Levorg/sport wagon is something that would be a slow seller here. But Down-under, it's a big seller. I love the practicality of the Subaru WRX Hatchback, good in snow ( as long as it's not too high ), rain, and awesome on dry roads, with it's good cargo area, AWD, good gas mileage ( I get about 24 MPG going back and forth to work driving normally, with a little spirited driving here and there ), great handling, and quickness, and it's been one of the most reliable vehicles that I have owned. I just love this car. Hot Hatch/Wagon life forever! ARman

Coworker has a similar car in black. I don't know much about it, but I do remember hearing it's got a motor swap. Looks like a fun little car... Personally, even though I know hatchbacks and wagons aren't popular here, I would really like to find either a nice Volvo wagon with a manual or an old G-body Malibu wagon since my high school car was a Malibu coupe. Congrats on getting your car back. Too bad its gotta be on a salvage title. A Perpetual Disappointment...
