For anyone that uses the non-profit LoCast to stream local channels, the courts apparently caused them to shut down services today. This bites for those that cannot get over the air signal for local stations.

That's unfortunate, but unsurprising. Remember Aereo?

I'm not certain how much this really matters. There's such a dearth of content worth watching on OTA TV, these days, that if it all disappeared tomorrow I'm not certain it would be any great loss.

This REALLY sucks. I don't watch TV that much, but I sure enjoyed MeTV's Adam-12 and the other classics of my youth to watch in the evening. But the most disappointing is missing out on the old "Film Noir" on Thursdays and Sundays on Movies! TV Network. The content put out by today's networks is absolute crap.

Where i'm at, can only get three decent channels via antenna.

I was just about to cancel cable as I just learned of locast last week. Looks like cable is still sucking money out of me. Wife love her crime shows. I have cable just for her.
