I am looking for a rubber strip with raised edges...like a u-channel that I could use to protect a surface from a hose clamp. We had this in the service and it came in long lengths that you could snipe off what you need. Also had a few widths to account for various size clamps.

I repainted my control arms on my truck and there are two hose clamps that hold a brake cable. I’d like to use the between the clamp and the control arm.

Here is an example from Europe. Looking for US source.

Thanks!

McMaster-Carr...if they ain't got it, you don't need it.

And yes, they accept small purchases from retail customers.

Well now, I see they have glow-in-the-dark high-temperature silicone rubber sheets. It says they are used to illuminate pathways.

Yes. Since I see you're in PA, there's also an absolutely amazing place that you'll find in NJ...it's called Fazio's. They'll have what you need.

I can spend hours there. They basically have everything McMaster Carr has, but carry each item new and used.

The place is the size of 4 blimp hangars and very well organized. One aisle will have ship propellers, the next will have jack hammers, the next will have tank treads, then every nut and bolt, fitting, flange, etc you could ever imagine. It's an amazing place.

But I digress, I got distracted thinking about the wonder of Fazio's.

Looked there...didn’t find it...but , then again, it could hide in an obscure category.

If you don't find it at McMaster-Carr check Auveco.com.

Nope, look at dims....they are not even close to what a hose clamp would be.

Oh, I misunderstood, you want them to go around the clamp not under it.

How about some of these in appropriate sizes and transfer the rubber part to the clamps you're using?
