Baltimore Police bodycam shows officer citing Chairman of Community Oversight Task Force
McKenstry is on the Community Oversight Task Force. I think this COTF was set up as part of the obama DoJ reacting to the Freddie Gray case.
His behavior in the video demonstrates one of the primary reasons why many people have bad interactions with police that sometimes even exponentially escalate to getting shot. His example for the black community is disastrous.
Instead of being bull headed, all he had to do was to cooperate. A lot of police shootings would never have occurred if people being stopped just interacted in a reasonable manner. Let any contentious problems get sorted out in court, not on the street.
Marvin McKenstry: “A product of being granted a second chance himself after dropping out of high school and many encounters with the law and incarceration starting at age 12, Marvin believes that given the chance there is no such thing as a lost cause.”
McKenstry also has an extensive adult record of being charged in Maryland court proceedings. Mostly minor stuff.
What does McKenstry have to say about the incident ?
“I do not want young people, young black people to follow the example that I set in that video”
At least he has good advice with that.

I assume you are an exil from another forum, or maybe you've been banned from Sig Forum before (IndyFFL or some other tool that has gotten punted by the Boss before????).
I'll just say "good luck".

So, Mr. Frosty would not be tied up arguing petty bullshit with a traffic cop, but he'll spend days arguing with a bunch of different people over his silly opinion?
Ahhhhhahahahahahahahahahaha.
He's a special kind of stupid.

This is why I'm removing you from this forum.
You're trolling us. The quoted statement tells me so. It's awfully disingenuous to come into a forum which is composed overwhelmingly of conservative males and then balk at the position these guys take on the matter. The issue at hand with this "community organizer" is not the traffic infraction, not at all. The issue is with his combative attitude, which is, I'm sorry to say, perfectly typical and entirely predictable. You behave as if you're very familiar with firearms discussion forums, and yet you express surprise at the members in this forum supporting the police officer and placing the blame for the really stupid shit we see in that video, entirely on the community organizer. You know perfectly well of the overall reaction you can expect to see when you put something like this before a conservative group, yet instead, you use this as an excuse to insult the members of this forum.
This is disingenuous behavior, and that's being kind about it. To put it plainly, you're a troll.
By the way, I wish the police would start asking jackasses like Mister Community Organizer- in which particular country would they like to live? It's certainly not the United States. Some place which is less developed, perhaps?

Mind you, the dearly defrosted was not banned because he disagreed with the police officer's actions. I want this to be clear.
Our formerly frozen friend was banned for the act of trolling. Saying that- in a given venue- a normal and expected reaction to something is not normal is chickenshit behavior. It's a technique calculated to frustrate and anger people. It's textbook trolling.

Um, okey dokey. Whatever you say. You've only been here a short time, but we've got a lot of hard working caring government workers here. It would be wrong to imply that private sector workers are somehow more effective, if that's what you were indeed trying to say in your last sentences there.
Anyone who thinks this was a good use of his time and the time of his fellow officers is a moron. Clear enough for you?
So when the ambulance can't get thru because of every double parked and someone dies, then it becomes a good use of time? Or do you eliminate the problem prior to that?
Great point. Not only was he doubled parked for an extra hour, there were 3 other police cruisers double parked blocking the roadway. All the ambulances in the video trying to get by must not have appreciated it. Ironic that the offense that they are citing him for, they're doing themselves in triplicate. Government hypocrisy at its finest.
My god, for a gun forum what a bunch of drama queens. Goto any major city where people double park all the time and you won't find the type of response this officer gave. You think this is professional? It's a power trip. If the vehicle is endangering others, tow it. If this guy refuses to produce his license and registration, cite him. If the guy does something that's an arrestable offense, then STFU already and arrest him.
The black guy isn't a bad guy. He's not a criminal and it would have taken 10 seconds to explain why he was being pulled over instead of repeating "license and registration" and "lawful order" over and over 60+ times. Would the officer have acted the same way if that was someone he knew in the vehicle? How about if you were the officer in that situation and that was someone you knew in the driver's seat, would you talk to him/her the same way? I didn't think so.
Want an example of how to handle a routine traffic stop?
Want to know the difference between the two officers? Goto 1:29. Use your brain and tell me why one officer is repeating an order 60 times calling for backup and the other is handing out tickets with the recipients thanking him for it.
Supposition on your part.

While checking the forum after work today, I was not surprised at all to see Frosty's new CUT. Proper and deserving for the trolling BS. They'll be back, but never for very long......
