My 20' pressure washer hose that came with the pressure washer decided to launch the fitting off the end of it. 20' was too short for its primary uses (car wash and driveway/sidewalk wash) so I was always having to move it around. I replaced it with the best selling and well-reviewed 50' on Amazon. The extra length is nice and I was able to wash my truck without repositioning the pressure washer. However, the new hose came coiled up in a box and it seems to have to memory to it and wants to stay coiled. By wanting to stay coiled its wrapping around itself and forming a big mass. I searched on YouTube, but every pressure washer hose video I found is either on procuring or on fittings/adapters. I thought about uncoiling it and laying it out on my lawn on a sunny day, but I figured why guess when Sigforum had likely already solved this issue. I'm NOT a Pressure Washer expert, but did purchase one last year, and I've used it a couple of times. I also occasionally stay at a Holiday Inn Express. Anyway, my Pressure Washer is a Simpson 3400 PSI 2.5 GPM gas powered unit, and came with their 25ft. MorFlex (poly-braided, highly-flexible?? kink-resistant) pressure hose. That hose seemed to want to stay coiled and was EXTREMELY resistant to uncoiling. The the hose was a bit unwieldy initially on first use, but by the time I was well into my project, the hose was basically laying flat. I'm not sure, but I believe the heat from the pump, and the friction/heat from the water traveling through the pressure hose was enough to relax the hose. All that said, I did purchase this 50 ft. pressure hose --> https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0...ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it I actually purchased it before I ever used the Pressure Washer because I thought the rubber cover would result in a less unwieldy hose, and I wanted the add'l length. When I tackle the whole house pressure washing project, I let you know what I think... ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! https://www.flexzilla.com/wate...her-hose-assemblies/ I was given some of their air hose for my air compressor a few years ago for my birthday and it is super flexible and not at all annoying to work with. I didn't know they made pressure washer hose too. Having said that I've been pleased enough with the air hose performance that I'd be more inclined to try their pressure washer hose vs a competitor. My pressure washer hose has the weird coil memory also. Learn and love and to do What it takes to step through

Twisting the hose as you coil/uncoil it has to be part of the technique. This hose probably has a wire reinforcement that makes this a necessary.

My suggestion is to hang it, preferably in the warm sun. When I got my replacement hose it was tightly coiled. I put it on the second story deck in the sun. Both ends hung down. After a couple of days the coils were gone and haven’t returned. I do keep the hose in 4’ loops as much as possible. “ The work of destruction is quick, easy and exhilarating; the work of creation is slow, laborious and dull.

Yup. Stretch that hose out full length and secure both ends to something and leave it in the sun for a full day, maybe two. It will relax. The trouble is finding a hot sunny day this time of year. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

After the lawn service left, I rolled it out in the backyard. Saturday afternoon is the earliest I'll need it, and I'm hoping this does the trick. It hit 96 today. ^^This. Once it warms it should relax and straighten out. Just don't wind it too tight when you're done. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Hooked it up this afternoon after 3-days leaving it stretched out in the backyard. It worked great. Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity DISCLAIMER: These are the author's own personal views and do not represent the views of the author's employer.
