BIL died of Agent Orange, he had cancer. My neighbor across the street has a rare blood cancer from it. I was recently advised by the VA that I was also exposed. At least that explains some issues. ************* MAGA

took a class at VCU in the mid 80's, one of the required reading books was called NAM, I don't remember the guy's name that published it, I say published, because it was basically nothing but first hand accounts of what individuals went thru he did another book later about police work, both are good reads https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

Just before Vietnam. My dad was a dentist based somewhere near San Francisco (fort ord maybe ?) He was a dentist. The medical types at the base didn't bother doing all the physical training and marching and such. BUT they did help everyone out with all the care they needed and help for dependents and did whatever was needed anytime of day or night. New base commander showed up and demanded that everyone (Medical guys included) become very spit and polish and PT every day and whatever else. So med guys decide to suddenly adhere to the letter of the law on treatments as well. Turns out, lots of people weren't getting the care they were used to and they all starting bitching. A few weeks later, the medical guys were again exempt from all the new requirements. Not a war story - no heroes. But funny and seems to ring true to "military" type behavior... ------------------ SBrooks
