I have not heard this expression before. Could you explain it to me?

My best guess is that it is a reference to getting to jump in combat for the Panama invasion as opposed to practicing it in training. Probably get a special badge or decoration. SF members who have been through jump school would know for sure.

As I remember it, Noriega had quite the personal small arms collection.

The locals called him something like "el peña" according to a Marine buddy of mine who was "vacationing" in Panama during Just Cause. Translates to "pineapple head". I wonder how to say "dead pineapple head"?

Add "rota" at the end and you'll do just fine.

He was a bad guy, but an "honest" bad guy.

I got his personal photo albums during Just Cause: Manny as a cadet, Manny at a backyard BBQ, Manny with Castro and Khaddafi, Manny with some piece of tail in Paris, Manny barefoot on a sailboat with a bottle of Heineken, Manny at what looks to be a convention of Central and South American dictators and strongmen.

I guess now I don't have to give them back.

He is one heck of a cautionary tale for third world wannabe power players...
