Read in the paper yesterday an article by Michael Reagen that Kalifornia Legislature passed a bill to spend 550 million on a plan to combat their homeless problem by asking residents to have homeless live in their back yards in sheds, tents, etc. What a great idea. I wonder how many in the legislature and Hollywood celebs like Martin Sheen who's big on the homeless thing would put up a wino on their property.

There was a piece on NPR radio last fall here in the SeaTac area suggesting the same. Yep, that’s what I want in my back yard: human shit and used needles.

Could they get any more stupid if they tried? The answer to that question should prove entertaining in the coming months.

I wonder if CA politicians will be at the front of the line to volunteer their homes/back yards to help the homeless. Wink

Maybe they can get the celebs and politicians to make a sign-up sheet so they can start the process.

How long before the host suffers loss of life or property accommodating the homeless. Would you leave the house vacant all day with a strange guest in your back yard with motive to rob you blind and nothing better to do? Teenage daughter at home alone? This is Leftist mental illness at work.

Where did CA get the $550 million?

When are Trump and the Republicans going to sever funding to CA ? Long overdue.

Los Angeles is trying this out but outside of government who are having a wet dream over the idea, no homeowner wants this.

A house is the single greatest asset most people will have and having a druggie or homeless person living in the backyard is not going to fly.

LA says they'll screen the homeless which we all know is BS.

But the homeless druggie had no skin in the game other than living there. When the real homeowners are at work what's to prevent the druggie from inviting his friends over? Nothing at all.

Assuming the homeless druggie doesn't pay rent, the property owner then has to start unlawful detainer proceedings.

Mayor Garcetti is pimping this hard bc he wants to consider running for president in 2020.

America - Dont let him do for the country what he's done to LA. It's an impoverished city. Up to 50k homeless, 25% of residents are at the poverty level. There is no new housing to be had unless you are rich.

Well, if the property owners refuse to participate, the government will just mandate it.
