I was in Costco one day and they had pallets of it on sale, for like $7 per bag, so it was less than twice regular mulch. And since I went through 100 or so bags per year, it would have been a large savings to do rubber once and never again. Asked my landscaper and he recommend against it, for most of the reasons outlined above. It gets really hot, and can actually burn the plants. It can wash away in heavy rains. And the biggest issue was all of my oak trees, when they dropped leaves they would just cover the mulch and he would not be able to blow off the leaves. I stayed with regular mulch. | |||
