Need a desk top recommendation. Nothing fancy but just something to hold me over until I get my iMac back. Typing on the phone or surfing the net gets tiresome on the phone. Thanks in advance

Budget? What does it need to do for you?

I bought a used Dell OptiPlex 745 with no operating system from an online used computer dealer 4 or 5 years ago for $80.

It was a little slow until I added some memory for $60. Its been working just fine.

It was just the tower, keyboard and mouse. I can't remember the name of the dealer at the moment. It looked like somebody that bought office equipment at auction and resold it.

I would do it again.

Those little Intel NUCs look interesting.

You can get refurbished laptop capable of websurfing, YouTube, email for $200-$300.

Fry's also has good deals on refurbished desktops.

Any particular brand I should look at? Amazon has a Dell refurbished or new can't remember for 140 bucks includes the monitor keyboard and mouse.

Saw a Dell 3000 22 all-in-one on sale for $399 on the Dell site yesterday. I'll probably order one since I don't feel like forking out over 3x more for an iMac.

I picked up an iPad and a Belkin keyboard case at Staples to serve in the interim until I got around to ordering my iMac.
It's still handy when I need something portable, and I can use it as a remote control for my camera.

New Egg has some HP refurbished AMD systems with W10 Pro on sale for $99.
This is the complete opposite end of the spectrum of computers I build and sell to my clients but the prices are great.
