snideraQuestion about auto maker platform refreshes...
As someone who deals with a small part of a vehicle, but is plugged into the wider stream when it comes to problems, you're overthinking.
The biggest headaches come in small runs.
I was involved in a recall >500k vehicles for ONE instance & it was a fringe case that took some real stupidity to create (and really creative dumb-assery to re-create). I then got to travel the country to un-fuck some really oddball problems caused by the 'fix'.
I don't have much experience with Honda, but I think you'd be really surprised to know the % of cars that have the news/forum-worthy problems. That's why they get out, they don't show up on very many vehicles. You're much more likely to NOT have a specific problem, but there's many different things that can go wrong. You could buy the 1st off the line from a new model & have as much of a chance of a major problem as one built the 3rd year. That 1st off will have been gone over & over before it went out the door, the 100,000th, not so much.
