Alaska was a beautiful Siberian, younger and older.
He was my second husky, later at one time I had 10 Siberians, all special to me, but none as close to me as Alaska. I will be lonely without him.

Thank you all.

Sorry for your loss. I love mine a little extra each day because I know they will one day be at the bridge. I have difficulty even opening these threads sometimes. May you find peace.

Sorry for you loss. Made me sad.

As of last Tuesday, my dog has not eaten.

Vet says bladder infection. She would be 16 in December. It is killing me. We have tried all the different things she likes, no go. She does drink a little.

Again, sorry for you. 20 is really good for a dog.

Threads like this break my heart...but on the other side of the coin...companions like Alaska bless us so much, give us so much and ask only that just we love them...say hello to
Jennie, Kate, Asha, Taffy, Sylvester, Lilly Woo (my grandhusky), Rosco and so many others Smile...

I'm so sorry for this loss...but I truthfully believe that God, Who created this world and everything in it, will not forget our 4 legged friends...take comfort in this.

I won’t get this quite right, but I will try.

Losing an animal, especially a dog, is a powerful clash of two realities. The first reality is a deep hurting loss that is very strong and temporarily puts the joy of life in a closet for a while. Hopefully just for a short while.

The second reality is the memory of the time spent with your friend and the countless good times that were shared. Since dog lives are shorter than ours, these two are especially linked because the first is the price of the second.
