I don’t know what they are, but suspect that they’re edible, and tasty. Hopefully some experts will be along shortly.

Serious about crackers.

First, I don't recommend anyone not an expert (which I'm not, either) eat random mushrooms.

An observation though. Back when I did a lot of rose-growing in California, "mushroom compost" was highly sought after by rose-growers. Mushroom compost is growing media from mushroom farms, which they replace as it becomes less productive for mushrooms. But it still has plenty of good compost value and is great for mixing into soil for roses, and so they sell the replaced media as 'mushroom compost'.

Anyway, the point of that being, maybe the potting soil bag that is growing these might have had some 'mushroom compost' mixed in, in which case those might prove to be from spores from a commercial variety as opposed to a random risky variety.

'might' being the operative word here, of course.

Looks like oyster mushrooms. I have eaten some wild ones that were growing on old oak stumps.

You probably already know this, but as a general rule, mushrooms are great for soil, so its a good sign.

If you taste them, and moments later find yourself saying "dude" a lot, first thing you'll need to do is slay the dragons, mount your trusty steed, and ride away to safety.

Did your potting soil come from the Great Bayou Novelty Greenhouse by any chance?
