Just because you can, doesn't mean you should |
I think the OP's point is that the CCP is sneaking propaganda into lots of stuff, hoping no one will notice. They are also funding lots of stuff in third world countries to gain a foothold and then more. Meanwhile, most are asleep. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

Well I’m pretty sure they snuck Rose into the last couple Star Wars movies. I started the man from nowhere. Very good production values. The story is certainly not an very original plot. It is well made though. Every scene with that ragtag bunch of vice cops seems off though. I can’t tell if it’s just the director trying to make them funny, silly, incompetent, whatever. I can see the appeal to many. Not my cup of tea but way better than the Oscar winner. Years ago I watched a movie about the Korean War made by Koreans. Can’t remember the name but I remember it being pretty good. Thanks for the titles, I will try them out. I’m watching the version on Prime. It doesn’t have a voiceover just subtitles. Kind of hard to listen to Korean and ignore the subtitles. Lol. Anybody know a channel that has this movie with voiceover? Funny thing is, they clearly speak Chinese (?) in this movie as well. The character isn’t supposed to understand and that part is subtitled in Chinese characters in addition to English. Makes for a busy screen. I don’t mind subtitles, my wife pretty much insists on them regardless of what we watch.

The end of the film is where it’s at. It’s not the most original film, no, but it is well done and I like it enough to watch it every few years. Started re-watching it after I mentioned it, and my first thought was “pedro’s gonna ding the dialogue with the vice squad”. The one about the Korean War was likely Tae Guk Gi. I’ve been meaning to watch it for years. I’ve seen it recommend many times. Other notable flicks are Silmido and Illang: The Wolf Brigade (think Man In the High Castle set in Korea modern day). Anyways, I’m glad to see Koreans telling the CCP to stuff it. Beside Rose in the recent Star Wars films, and their screaming about racist bullying because people thought she sucked, they also removed or did their best to hide John Boyega on the film release posters over there. Pot, meet kettle. ______________________________________________ “There are plenty of good reasons for fighting, but no good reason ever to hate without reservation, to imagine that God Almighty Himself hates with you, too.”
