NontypicalI use a small Farberware 4 cup percolator. It really makes 2 large cups. I also have the 12 cup for when I have company. It works great. Old school. lol.
I’m a fan of DD coffee. I buy the large container at Costco.

SIG4EVAI got my wife a Gaggia Magenta for Christmas a couple years back which is fully automatic and makes awesome coffee.
Camping I use a stainless French press.
This is one of my favorites.

golddotAs I rolled over 50 a few years ago, my values shifted from "toys" and stupid things to simple pleasures done to perfection (or as close as possible). I realized my fav part of my day was my morning coffee. I already had a K cup, but also went in on a Lavazza mini and also a Techno Vorm coffee machine. for me, it is still (even after all those fancy machines) hard to beat a frech press or pour over. I have to admit I am just not patient enough to wait for those in the mornings. My first cup is a shot of expresso that takes about 60 seconds, i then use a steel k cup and hand brew a cup of fresh ground Pete's usually. and as the k cup brews I sip my expresso.
I traveled all over the world, Africa , Europe, Middle East and SE Asia , central America aslo. Costa Rica had some VERY good coffee and so did the Philippines. My easy to buy local fav lately is Cafe Bustello medium roast.

220-9erCostco Medium Roast. Comes in a Gold & white foil package.
I've found that really cleaning the basket and container it sits in each time makes a tremendous difference.
My coffee pot brewer is a dark brown, almost black color and it hides a residue well. The parts should look shiny when they're clean, not dull at all.

KevHPeet's Major D is by far my favorite and my old standby. It's been my go-to for the past twenty-five years.
I like other dark and medium roasts as well, but always go back to Major D.
I only like a little bit of half-n-half. No sugar.
