I use a keurig most of the time with the little screen basket filled my preferred coffee of the day. Much more economical than pods although slightly less convenient. I also us little paper filters in the reusable carrier to make cleaning a breeze.

I used to use a Keurig but the coffee was just too week.

You can get a reusable capsule and load your own coffee.

If you want good strong coffee, I suggest la Colombe coffee.

I recommend the separate frothier for milk, much easier to clean.

Nespresso for me. Fast, easy, good, and little time spent on cleaning. Every cup is fresh made. The older I get the less I can stand old coffee.

I usually drink lungos (an espresso with a bit more water forced through the grounds).

My Nespresso Pixie takes little counter space. It uses the “Original Line” capsules. They’re hermetically sealed; the coffee stays perfectly fresh for months.

I favor the Nespresso “Ristretto” variety. I don’t use cream, sugar, or flavorings.

But Peaberry is hard to source, so I make do with Death Wish Dark Roast or a light roast called Laughing Horse roasted just down the road in Harrison, NY.

As to the OP, I prefer Indonesian, usually Papua New Guinea coffee as it is lower acid, very rich. I prepare it in a French Press, 60 grams coffee to 34 ounce Press. I add a bit of heavy cream and no sugar to keep it keto friendly. I pour in the boiling water, let sit for 4 minutes. Then stir, scrape off the foam, let sit for another 5 minutes then press. Pour a big cup and pour the rest in a pitcher for iced coffee.

Former Keurig user here (still use one at work with Costco coffee k-cups) who decided to ditch it after my third or fourth machine in 15 years or so broke. Got tired of the weak brew and having to use 2 runs of a K-cup adapter to get a large cup of coffee.

I use a plain jane drip coffee maker now and my coffee of choice is the German brand Jacob's Kronung. Fell in love with it while stationed in Germany in the 90's and until about 2 years ago Aldi made a version that was a direct clone but they abruptly changed the supplier or something and it was terrible. German coffee is SO good.

My Cuisinart K-Cup machine crapped outin the fall, and I decided to replace it with this Ninja Dual Brew, and couldn't be happier!

I'll brew Green Mountain Dark Roast or Nantucket blend K-Cups most of the time, as I'm the only one in my house that drinks coffee. But, I will occasionally brew a single cup from grinds; I like the Blackout Morning Reaper, and it's nice that the machine will brew a 8/10/12/14oz coffee through a regular filter without having to pack a K-cup. I haven't found another grind that I really like yet, and don't frequently brew from grinds, so I'll probably stick with the Blackout.

I'll also use the machine to make 8-10oz of hot water for tea; I set the hot water for my wife in the morning as she is up before me and has her tea ready to go.

Keurig at home & work, I refer a medium roast.

Black in both cases. The little creamer cups started to not agree with my stomach, switched to half/half with 1 raw sugar packet.
We ran out of half/half at work so I went to black with 1 raw sugar, then half, then straight black.

Keurig user here. I like medium to slightly dark roasts. At the moment the favorite coffee is Gevalia's Dark Royal Roast, and Community Coffee's
Cafe Special or Breakfast Blend are contenders but are harder to find.

I prefer to buy medium-dark whole beans, which I keep in airtight Airscape containers and grind them myself in single use quantities as needed with an electric burr grinder, and then using an electric kettle I brew them in an Oxo single cup pour over (if I'm in a hurry) or a French press (if I'm not).

Small splash of whole milk. No sugar.

I will sometimes pick up some locally roasted beans when I'm feeling bougie, but my usual go-tos are Cameron's Scandinavian roast or Peet's Major Dickason roast, either of which are relatively inexpensive for fairly good quality commercial beans.

No Keurig anymore because I found the coffee just didn't come out as good plus it was too expensive. I like fresh ground medium roast beans but as a compromise when Barb's here I mix them half with dark beans because she likes dark.

To me dark taste a little too burnt, generally the lower grade beans are what get used for roasting dark, and dark has less caffeine.

Folgers Columbian pre ground. Usually about twice a year I will buy whole bean and grind my own.

Keurig user here as well. I prefer a light roast with some Carmel macchiato or French vanilla creamer.

I’ll have a cup in the morning or in the afternoon after lunch.

I got that same Ninja when our Keurig went kaput. I use that during the week when I go to work in the a.m., any dark roast pod and the OXO pour over on the weekend, usually Peet’s dark roast.

It depends on where I’m at.
Home- I recently got my better half a nice DeLonghi coffee & espresso maker with the frothing thing. I guess the rest of it is cool, but the Coffee Maker does exactly what it’s supposed to do!
Folgers, Firehouse (black cherry bourbon), occasionally a Starbucks (vanilla), every once and a while I’ll grab some African coffee.

Work- A few years ago, my guys got me a Kureg. It’s the hardest working thing in the Office! At any given time, there’s probably 8 or 9 different coffee cups in the drawer. Dumkin, Starbucks, Black Rifle, Caffe Buestello… Did ya know that Buffalo Trace has Coffee?!?! Pretty good too!

On the Road- Starbucks, there’s a few Coffee Shops that are pretty good, in a pinch I’ll grab Dunkin.


I’m not spending too much time on what goes in it- just enough half and half- on a lazy Sunday morning, there’s a little bailey’s Irish cream.

I grind the beans in a Maestro burr grinder and brew in a Mr. Coffee drip coffee maker. I think the grinder and the brand of beans are much more important than the coffee maker brand. I was ordering Kona beans from Hualalai Estate Coffee in Hawaii but I decided to cut back on the expense and started buying Caribou Blend beans at the grocery store, which are really good. Then I discovered Don Pablo beans at Costco and they're almost as good as Caribou.

Have you tried Costco's Kirkland Signature Pacific Bold K-cups? It's a strong dark roast. Actually Green Mountain, re-branded for Costco.

Not too expensive, we buy five cases when it's on sale. Comes out to around 30¢ / cup.

Coffee Mate tastes GREAT! It's a best thing to put in coffee as far as taste is concerned. But, it's incredibly bad for your heart and arteries. Once I found out how bad it is for your health, I stopped using it.

We don't use our Keurig very often any longer to get away from almost boiling water passing through the plastic pods.
Microplastics are not good for you.

The fill-yourself reusable pods just don't make a good cup of coffee, in our opinion.
