Can y’all recommend a weekly planner you use for keeping and scheduling appointments? Any and all suggestions appreciated. Just looking for some real world experience and maybe a line or two as to why you like using the one you suggest. Thank you kindly. ----------------------------------------------- What's the sense in working hard if you never get to play?

Are you looking for a web based weekly planner or a paper weekly planner? I use the daytimer brand of planners and they seem to work well for me, but I use the monthly one. (Entire month on 2 pages). This message has been edited. Last edited by: jimmy123x,

Don't Panic |
I took the Steven Covey course early in my career, and found the Franklin-Covey printed planners to be very well made, and the design/printing had features to help you keep focusing on the big things you needed to do amidst the daily confusion of events. Not sure if they have software/apps, but I'd guess if they do, they'd be well-executed. I was always impressed with their products.

Don't know if would work for you or not, but I run pretty much my entire personal and professional life through Google Calendar. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. I made it so far, now I'll go for more |
I go to my local cheapo store and buy the ones that are about 2 bucks. The pages are set up the same as the much more expensive ones and they work for me. Bob I am no expert, but think I am sometimes.

I use/used the same product after taking his class some years ago. Last I check the pages were printable on their website. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Just for the hell of it |
Paper or computer/phone based? Back before smartphones, there was a time I needed a good planner for meetings and client appointments I used a full-size planer. I had a fake leather covered 3 ring notebook that zipped closed. I would buy yearly refill packs at Office Depot or Staples. I can't remember which. I would look at what they had and pick the style that fit me best. I like a full week on two pages. That way I could see my entire week at once and usually still have enough room to put everything in there. Today my need isn't as great for scheduling as it was and I just use the built-in calendar on my smartphone which links to my google calendar on my computer. _____________________________________ Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. For years I used the Day Runner/Day Timer line of products and found them very useful and affordable. Now I use an app called Evernote which not only allows normal planner activity but has some great note taking features as well.

I've been using the calendar apps on my mobile devices ever since my Palm Centro. Currently using the calendar apps on my Apple devices. With my Apple Watch I don't even have to have phone, tablet, or computer to hand. I can see what's coming up, and when, on the watch. Never mind the reminder notifications. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should |
I've used a number of planners and calendars over the years and have settled on Google Calendar. Having access at all times on any of my three devices is the key plus it will notify me by text and/or email. I find I don't usually print out anything anymore. Every planner seems to have something I'd like to change or customize but can't so you have to look through the finalists to see which one comes closest to your specific needs and wants. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

My wife couldn't find anything on the market that fit what she wanted. A few years ago she designed her own and has it printed every year. She binds it herself at the house. You can find similar designs on ETSY'S website..

I've been using a Hobonichi planner for the last several years. Daily - not weekly. Thin paper, great for gel / fountain pen, whathaveyou. I use a blotter paper cut to fit as a bookmark so no bleed over when closing. A6 size: 5.8 in. X 4.1 in. Mine shipped from Japan, or you can use jetpens.

Another big upside is that other people send me meeting requests all the time and I can simply accept them to have them automatically added to my calendar. I used to hate having to take the time to write something in a planner that was already written in an email or meeting notification. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Like Joel said, I cant live without my Franklin planner. I did not take the courses, but, over the years I have made good use of the planner system. Only thing is that the planner is kinda big, so, I need a large backpack or a large messenger bag if I need to carry it round. They have the planner and binders is smaller sizes, but, given my poor eyesight, I, unfortunately have to carry the larger one. Best of luck finding a planner that meets your needs. If you think you can, YOU WILL!!!!!

and every one of them words rang true and glowed like burnin’ coal. |
Like most people, I rely on Google Calendars in order to make/keep appointments. It really is the easiest solution for me. For planning, I am trying out the Bullet Journal method. You can use various different journals for it. I am using a Leuchtturm1917 journal. There is some redundancy with porting over written word into Google Calendars, so I have to schedule time to do it. I’m only a month in, so it’s a little early to see if it is sustainable. So far, it seems like a good fit.
