Before I get any further, please accept the fondest felicitations from Mrs tac and myself, in heartfelt memory of the great times we've spent over the last many years in your incredible country.

As for kicking out the Tory and Labour parties, it just isn't going to happen. All the other political parties added up together don't make up more than half of either of the two main parties. And don't forget that we have four nations' interests to attend to, each with their own nationalist party and interests.

Or, as Mrs tac might say -

O ran rhoi'r gorau i'r pleidiau Torïaidd a Llafur, nid yw'n mynd i ddigwydd. Nid yw'r holl bleidiau gwleidyddol eraill gyda'i gilydd yn cyfrif am fwy na hanner y naill na'r llall o'r ddwy brif blaid. A pheidiwch ag anghofio bod gennym ni fuddiannau pedair cenedl i roi sylw iddynt, pob un â'i phlaid a'i diddordebau cenedlaetholgar eu hunain.

Well, if the voters cast their votes for representatives of the other political parties, they'll no longer have that majority. Is that not how voting works in the UK? Presumably there are opposition candidates on the ballot that would at least make that possible. Assuming that's the case, seems pretty straightforward, no?

I would assume electing a third party is as impossible "over there" as it is here.

^^^There are essentially 4 or 5 major parties in the UK currently, depending on how your measure their influence. The largest, based on the current government, being Labour and Conservative but that 'could' change, especially if the people are sick of leftist policies, want 'their' country back, and vote Reform UK in significant numbers. The UK, and most other western countries (other than the US) are essentially represented by coalition governments so smaller parties can exercise influence/power if they're an essential part of the 'coalition'. Anything is possible!

So did the Brits basically just elect a bunch of hard-core leftists because they were mad at the Tories for acting like a bunch of leftists? Do I have that right?

Wow!
I really feel for Britain.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Rishi Sunak to Resign as Tory Party Leader Following Humiliating Election Defeat

By Ben Kew | Jul. 5, 2024 7:00 am

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will resign as the leader of the Conservative Party on Friday morning after his devastating election result, in which he lost by a landslide to the left-wing Labour Party.

While Sunak won his seat of Richamond and Northallerton and will return as a MP, he will tender his resignation after a humiliating defeat in which his party lost over 200 seats.

“The Labour Party has won this general election and I have called Keir Starmer to congratulate him,” said in his concession speech. “The British people have delivered a sobering verdict tonight, there is much to learn… and I take responsibility for the loss.

The Labour Party, whose leader Keir Starmer is a former Trotsykite with strong links to communism, has won a majority of around 150 seats.

However, they barely increased their vote share and won the election because the collapse of the Conservative Party vote after 14 years in government where mass immigration skyrocketed, woke ideology thrived and taxation reached record levels.

Starmer will be required to visit King Charles at Buckingham Palace on Friday where he will ask permission to form a new government. He will likely move into the official Downing Street residence later on in the day.

Interesting that the UK is choosing to go even harder left, when there's a strong conservative wave sweeping the rest of Europe.

Britain’s conservative party, which first (reluctantly) engineered Brexit, and more recently oversaw that country’s Orwellian pandemic response, completely collapsed yesterday. Politico’s story was headlined, “UK general election: Labour hammers Tories with historic election win.” Britain’s “farthest right” conservative and political gadfly Nigel Farage, who was perhaps most individually responsible for Brexit, the movement that telegraphed Trump’s 2020 election, had a very big night last night, as you might be able to detect from close scrutiny of this picture he uploaded yesterday:

Britain’s snap elections, called in May by now former conservative-party Prime Minister Rishi Sunak,* wreaked havoc on the historic party of Margaret Thatcher and rocketed the liberal socialist labour party into equally historic control of the entire British Government by a massive margin. Corporate media is trumpeting the result as a failure of conservatism in England, and a narrative opposing the recent ascendency of the ‘far right’ in the rest of Europe. But contrary to that narrative, Labour’s winning campaign slogan was “Make Brexit Work.”

Perhaps even more tellingly, now-dominant Labour was the only major British party to oppose vaccine mandates and most of the vaccine passport rules during the pandemic. So.

The aforementioned Nigel Farage quickly spun up his new Reform Party (f/k/a the Brexit Party) after the snap elections were called, and despite that short runway, still handily won several parliamentary seats, even though he’s tried and failed to be elected to the British Parliament seven times before. Eight times was the charm, for Nigel.

One possible explanation for his new success is that, like Labour, Nigel Farage also strongly opposed vaccine mandates.

While corporate media myopically pretends to celebrate the election of a left-wing government in Britain, they have (probably intentionally) missed the gist. In yesterday’s election, voters overwhelmingly rewarded parties that had opposed jab mandates. Britain’s RINO conservative party undermined Brexit, which was bad enough, but even worse it deployed severe jab mandates and passport rules. And Boris Johnson, the pandemic Prime Minister and conservative leader, infamously partied while locking down the rest of Great Britain.

Think about that. The pandemic fallout not only continues but appears to be gathering steam.
