BMW driver that ran over FL Trooper Arrested
I watched the video and all I can think is wtf?

As others here do, I hope the idiot gets several years for aggravated attempted murder.

I do hope Trooper Caballero has no sustained debilitation after he heals.

His vehicle suddenly accelerated entirely on its own when he dropped that joint he was smoking onto his crotch and mashed on the accelerator.

The way this guy acted in that video is a good example of the irrational behavior BMW drivers are prone to.

If you drive on the top end Perimeter highway in Atlanta, you've seen it, too.

Funny you say that. First off I agree completely. The funny part is my wife was buying a new car a few years ago. She drove a BMW and really liked the vehicle. Tells me she can't buy it. I ask her why and she replies "then everybody will think I'm a total asshole". Swear to god. I almost spit out my coffee when she said that I was laughing to hard.

I’ve never thought to categorize asshole drivers to a particular make of vehicle, or make judgements based on the type of a car a person drives.
That’s like saying drivers of lifted pickups are rednecks.

Well, what do you want? A pat on the back? A medal? I drive daily in a metropolitan area comprising in excess of five and a half million people. Before that, I was in Houston, Texas. My opinion is based upon my experience of almost 35 years in the traffic of huge cities. If you don't like my opinion, tough shit.

You obviously haven't driven around too many BMW's if you can't make this connection.
I'd put it at 95% of them drive like the self important fucking assholes that they are.

And BTW, I said that BMW drivers have a tendency. I didn't make any absolute statement.

Agreed. Not saying they all are but enough are that it is common knowledge in my circle of friends and family that the vast majority that drive BMW's drive like complete assholes that think they own the road. No offense to the smaller percentage of BMW drivers that are normal.

It's not about liking or disliking your opinion. I really don't care one way or another.

I was commenting on it being interesting that you, and others, have come to having that opinion.

In my almost 50 years of driving, I've lived and driven around a lot of BMWs, in several states, and large cities.

Yeah, it's the "...and others..." part you should be focusing on. I'm not alone in my opinion, and Hell, some cartoon artist seems to think the belief is substantive enough to get a published cartoon out of it.

These things might be considered to be clues, huh?

And I didn't say that I've been driving for 35 years. I said I've been driving in the heavy traffic of big cities for 35 years. I've been driving since 1976.

My wife briefly owned a '12 model BMW X5 last year for several months. I liked driving it, but am still trying to shake it off after all these months since selling it. Still have an urge to cut people off in traffic....

Thank you.

I've driven a BMW since 1998, use my blinkers for turns, lane changes, am courteous, and consider myself a good driver.

No at fault accidents in 43 years of driving and no tickets in ~15 years. Yes, I think that is good driving. Wink
