I miss those days. .
I bought a one owner 73 225 Limited in 83, a 70k mile car only used when the owners took a out of state trip.
Four door HT, highly optioned. MPG was originally atrocious until I tweaked the carburetor, open air cleaner replacement and changed the ignition system. It already had the “Performance Package”, listed in the options of a 2.93 final drive and dual exhaust, found that out as the dealership I worked for sold the car new and I found the paperwork in the old files.
Living in the Southwest we had a lot of long straightaways, smooth ride at 100 mph. Biggest problem I had with it was the sun, heat and UV really messed up the upholstery, fixed it by finding a set of Cadillac DeVille leather seats at a scrapyard. Fifty bucks later, swapped them out at the yard and on the road again.

Engine compartments you could look through and see the ground.
A rear window shelf you could lay in as a kid.
Computer... What's a computer?
Brass/copper radiators that could be unsoldered, cleaned, repaired and re-used.
Full service gas stations.
Endeavor to persevere.

Grease zerks on everything that potentially needed lubrication. Even the leaf spring eyes, and the bushings on the clutch and brake pedals. Like my ‘59 Chevy Apache had. I used to take it to the full serve gas station in town to be put on the lift and lubed. It cost $10 and I dang sure got my money’s worth. The grease monkey couldn’t believe all the fittings it had.

I am not positive, but I think that dad had a Hudson hornet that I used to nap in the back window. I was three or so.

Full serve gas stations. Drive up to the pump, an attendant would come out, they'd fill the tank, check the oil and tire pressures, clean the windshield.
I miss those days.

I do not. They still do that in Oregon and I hated it. Every one of the gas pumpers I encountered were sketchy, and one tried to get me to drive off without my gas cap. I can pump my own gas, and I don't like other people touching my car.
I miss basic long-bed trucks with bed rails that weren't 6 feet off the ground, with manual locks, manual windows, manual A/C controls, and a radio with buttons. No touch screens. And keys that would fit in your pocket that didn't require batteries to operate.

Someone mentioned a '67 Bonneville. That was my first car. My sister and her husband bought it new and I was with them. My brother and I put a lightly used engine in it and I drove it to college.400 engine and turbo 400 transmission. Super reliable car. I loved the styling inside and out of that car. It was just like this one:

I miss the option of peppy the V8 without cylinder cut-out and an automatic transmission that doesn’t lug the snot out the engine. Simplicity would be nice also.
