Don’t tell my wife that I know she’s getting me a Casio GWM5610-1 for Father’s Day. I’m stoked! It’s going to be my first G-Shock. I wanted the 5610BA but couldn’t justify the price difference. The GWM5610 is solar powered and atomic time keeping.

Congrats on your first G Shock!

I am a big fan of the solar atomic models, have had a few and still have a Rangeman, Frogman, Mudman, and Gulfman.

You will love it. Absolutely accurate, never needs a battery and darn near indestructible in a light weight handsome package.

Awesome. Congratulations. Welcome to the G-Shock family. Great watches. I really like that it’s always perfectly accurate. Makes me smile inside.

The hardest part is waiting! I’m super stoked. Did my homework and if this isn’t the best bang for your buck g-shock. I love the look of the mudmasters and such but I have small wrists and I’d look dumb wearing a watch that big.

Ha, just to tease you here's mine:

It's just about the perfect weekend watch for me. It does everything you could possibly need. It's not too big, not too small. Doesn't get in the way. Not a second thought needed about doing anything with it on.

I like the small splashes of color to contrast the black case. The display is nice and bright, better than some of the older squares (I have one of those as well).

Add me to the chorus- you will enjoy it.

Absolutely. Big Grin

Phantom229 you'll love yours!

While not the same model as what the OP is being gifted with, this 2005 GW-5600BF-1JF is still going strong 15 years after acquisition as a testament to the durability of the solar atomic clock "squares!"

Mine has the 2924 module and is customized with a Tiktoc Zulu strap conversion plus a gold bullbar to match the reverse display segment color and gold control buttons.
