Excellent choice on the Samsung. I bought two when I moved here back in '14, a 32 for the bedroom and a 46 for the living room. I paid $500 for the pair (January, I guess they were the previous year models). They are "smart" but I don't use that feature. They have been reliable with good color and sound. No issues. Since I hate remotes cluttering up my end table I found an app called "My Tifi" that allows me to change inputs etc. if I want to watch the Amazon fire stick (it has to be on the house internet).

Don't feel bad about the slight bump in size. It rally does make a world of difference for not much of a price bump.
