…my beautiful wife took on the task of putting up with me for the rest of her life.

Two weeks after I meet her I told her that we were going to get married, which scared the shit out of her. Because of the tales her dad had told her about his time in the Navy, she swore she would never so much as date a sailor. It took me two years to win her over. Big Grin

Her health prevents any type of celebration but at least I still have her at home, and after 50 years I can still make her smile. When I told her what today was, she gave me the biggest smile I’ve seen in years. That smile and the knowledge that she understood what I was telling her makes everything worthwhile.
