Nice jump dog!

Sophie enjoys the snow.

My little adorable snow monster had a big time on her snow day. Here she is surveying the river.

They are so cute, how can you not love dogs in the snow?

I took a pic of me on the tractor to send to the grand kids this afternoon and Sophie was sitting in the driveway looking at something.

A minute later I saw just what she was watching.

No snow here in Houston, but a brisk cold definitely amps up our Border/Dalmatian mix; she's like a bullet.

Cold weather certainly energizes them.

This is my old girl. She passed almost 2 years now. A more faithful companion and well behaved mutt I doubt I will ever again have the privilege of knowing. Anyway she loved the snow. She would lay on the deck of our three season house during a storm until she was just a snow covered bump in the snow. You'd never know she was even there.

Kokopelli the BC loves the snow, Lizzie not so much. Lizzie passed last year, she sure is missed. As I write this, the vet sent out a biopsy from Koko, praying it's not cancer.

When we lived in MD, our dogs loved it, the deeper the better (up to a point). That was 19 years ago, though, and none of those dogs are still with us. Our AZ dogs have seen about 1/4" of snow, 3 times in 19 years.

Went out on Saturday chasing photography of Denali since it was such a clear day. Turned Bandit loose to run on a frozen Lake Kashwitna and he was in heaven!

Running in the shadow of Denali.

Run!
